The Serpent Constellation Draconis also acts as a Star Calendar

Because the earth orbits around the sun at the rate of 0.98º every 24 hours, the midnight starting point of Draconis changes at the same rate.

The result is that roughly 1º is equal to 1 day or 24 hours

There are three months in each quarter each equalling one season

The Celtic cross wheel is divided into four parts so as to divide the northern constellation into the four seasons and its symbolic carvings reflect the awesome forces of nature and its recurring cycles

The ancients were able to measure precession with this instrument and broke the complete cycle down into 12 signs of the zodiac each equalling ages of 2160 years amounting to the total years of one cycle of precession: 25,920 years
