The word Sophia means wisdom, It is
a word derived from Serpent and brings us other words of
wisdom such as Philosophy
and Sophisticated.
The church of Hagia Sophia
(literally "Holy Wisdom") in Constantinople, now Istanbul, was first dedicated
in 360 to the Emperor Constantine
As the reader moves on they will see that the serpent was the ultimate source
of understanding bringing mathematics, geometry (Earth Measurement) construction
and astrology leading to a deep understanding of the true nature of time.
The consciousness of our ancient ancestors developed this over aeons to help
them survive in a world of constant war between the force of destruction and the
force of creation called changes and known as Time.
Later alchemists depicted the serpent and the cross as symbiotic of
great wisdom and knowledge as did Constantine
Serpent and cross
Great wisdom is the understanding of Time
and the judgement of the effect of events and actions(
Cause and Effect) was the prime purpose of Rulers(
measurers) which was given by the Serpent by its nature both on earth and in the
astrological night sky.
The original mindset of Shaman (sea people) using spirit in everything
and simulacra (images) saw that one particular creature in the world was
mathematically superior in form for the purpose of measuring Time and Place and
that was the serpent who has a skin of unusual properties.
Cobra
The scales of the skin of a cobra are based on a wheel or circle and are
mathematically regular and predictable
Snake skin and ruler
The skin of a snake is exponential and can be used with a plumbline to
measure angles accurately to arc minutes when placed on a cross bar.
Creating an exponential Ruler
Using a snake skin and a plumb line, it is possible to measure any
astronomical angle to degrees and arc minutes
Plumb line bisecting the mathematical scales on a snake skin
This is why the Serpent was respected and venerated in the ancient world
because its skin helped us become conscious and unravel the mysteries of
the Universe in which we live lending credence to the Serpent giving Eve the
fruit of the Tree of Knowledge in the original garden of Eden, because with that
forbidden knowledge Mankind could begin to conquer and change his environment.
