Heavens Above

The discovery of the working cross by Crichton E M Miller reveals where the ancients thought Heaven was and of course  that is where it always was, in the sky.

Our ancestors believed that our souls came from the stars before we were born and that if we lived a righteous life, that  we would return to Heaven to be with God.

They also believed that to return required a knowledge of the star patterns so that the departed soul could navigate back to heaven

That is what the ancients did, they made images of their familiar surroundings on earth and interpreted those shapes in the stars so as to easily  recognise them, This process of image translation is known as Simulacra and our ancestors were doing that 36,000 years ago when they painted the caves at Lascaux  and so were the designers of the Cathedrals and Churches of mediaeval Christianity.

It is all about Time keeping and earth measurement in relation to the position of our nearest star, the Sun..

Cathedrals were known as the Holy See and directed all aspects of the agricultural society with this knowledge until the mechanical clock was invented.

But don't think for a minute that that this ancient idea has been discontinued, it still exists and the Science of Astronomy still uses the Greek astronomical symbols for easy recognition as do modern ocean navigators. These symbols are known as the astrological constellations.

More than that, just as the ancients before the Ice Age did, we still measure these patterns  with mathematical precision divided into degrees and arc minutes and seconds .

1. All the fixed stars move at a rate of 15 degrees per hour caused by  the spin of the earth.

2. They also move at just less than 1° every day because of the orbit of the earth.

You see? we still name star patterns after images we know so as to recognise them easily.

We often hear people arguing about what the images were used by different cultures such as Egypt, Mesopotamia and the Greeks.

This is irrelevant since it is the distance between stars that is the main aim of the exercise, not what images the culture using them worked with.

The Mayan, Inca and Aztec Civilisations did not use the stars, they used the dark spaces in between so that we see their heaven on earth represented in the Sacred Valley of the Inca as the Condor, Llama and Toad.

The uneducated often argue about the length of each constellation as not being 30 degrees, again this is irrelevant since the Zodiac signs are only for recognition and the Egyptians had stars that were called decans of which there were 36 at 10°.

You can see the use of this in pre Columbian Amerindian cultures like the Anazasi.

To find  the start and finish of the ecliptic zodiac year, the Egyptians and the Greeks used Orion .

Of course Orion is behind the sun for part of the year, so they had to turn to another source at night to locate its position

The Imperishable stars in the wheel of northern hemisphere using recognisable constellations for identification and the serpent Draconis in combination with the Big Dipper or Great Bear were the zodiac signs used to find the position of the sun in the ecliptic zodiac both night and day,

Heaven was always Above.

The ancients wanted to return to heaven when they died and devised elaborate funerary rites to achieve it with ritual, priests and instruments, this was normally expected of the King or Pharaoh as head of his or her people and the followers expected to be shown the way to heaven by that Ruler.

The Ruler (Heavens measurer) used an instrument to observe the ever changing position of the constellations and that instrument can still be seen on a Christian grave in the dualistic role of both the celestial navigator and the symbol of sacrifice of the King they want to follow to Heaven where the Creator of the Universe is seated.

Remember,  Christ's birth was also predicted using Astrology according to the Bible.

Of course, modern science does now confirm that the ancients were quite right  about each one of us originally coming from heaven since every particle and wave of energy that makes the body in which we become conscious originally came from space.

To measure and predict Time and Place successfully, the ancients had to have an accurate instrument to measure the spin of the stars and what they originally used was the wheel cross .

But what they needed was something known to Alchemists and Magicians and the the authors of fairy stories as the Philosophers Stone.
