“The wheel cross, sun cross, Odin’s cross or Woden’s cross.

 
    The Wheel Cross is one of the first non-pictorial graphs to appear when humankind was on the threshold of the Bronze Age. It is common on rock carvings. It appears in ancient Egypt, China, pre-Columbian America, and the Near East. From the facts available it seems as if it is associated with the wheel, not so much with its invention as with its revolutionary effect on the existing society. In ancient China this sign was associated with thunder, power, energy, head, and respect.
    In ancient Babylon the similar structure symbolized the sun god, Shamash.
    When the first ideographic writing systems were developed, was included among the signs. It appears in the earliest systems of writing used by the Egyptians, Hittites, Cretans, Greeks, Etruscans, and Romans.
    In ancient Greece signified a sphere or globe. It was also used as a natal chart pattern in ancient astrology. In modern astrology it is the sign for the planet Earth, the astrological element earth, and Fortuna, the Part of Fortune, an important position in the natal chart related to progress and hindrances in the material aspect of an individual’s life.
    In astronomy it is also used as a symbol for the planet Earth, and is therefore synonymous with.
    It is easy to trace a shift in this sign’s meaning over time. In earliest times was a symbol for the highest power, the sun, and its counterpart, the king. It represented power and control. This meaning changed so that more and more adopted the meaning of and , i.e. the points of the compass, the earth, and the land.
    As has been its custom the Christian Church has included this ancient pagan sign among the crosses of its symbolism. It is known as the gamma cross, the Roman Catholic cross, the consecration cross and the inauguration cross. At the inauguration of a church, the bishop, using blessed water or oil, draws the wheel cross at 12 different places on the church walls. Its use as a halo or Gloria, i.e. the spiritual power or energy that holy persons emanate, is associated with its original meaning as a sign of power.[1]

 

 The original design of the cross is to be found in rock carvings throughout the ancient world from South America to Egypt and was in existence long before it became a Christian symbol in the 4^th Century AD.

I cannot tell you of all the intricacies surrounding the loss of this valuable piece of ancient history in an article this size, so I will give an outline of the tragic story surrounding this mysterious artifact.

It was Constantine (a Gaul) who deposed his opposition in the Roman Empire by raising Christianity to become the Roman state religion, which then proceeded to conquer Europe and eventually the Americas chasing the old religions to the marginal areas and eventual extinction whilst absorbing much of their traditions and building churches on their ancient sacred sites.

Constantine (a Pagan) also removed the previous Christian symbol of a fish[2] replacing it with the solar image of the Celtic cross which was the original symbol of Gaul and that of the western Atlantic seafaring peoples who lived in the places now known as Brittany in France, Cornwall in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

Did you know at the end of the Christian Lords Prayer that Amen is called on? “For yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, Amen.” Amen[3] is the same as Amun or the most famous Pharaoh in the world Tut Ankh Amen meaning Wisdom and Life of the Age of Aries. You are living in the age of the Fish, Pisces. Why then do Church leaders insist the faithful call on an age long dead?

This has been hidden from you by those who say Amen means “So say all of us” Hidden in the same way that the ancient wheel cross is now seen as a Christian symbol.

These ancient people who were originally Constantine’s ancestors and saw the Sun as the Creator or Father were superb mariners who sailed the Atlantic Ocean navigating by the stars in sailing boats of up to 60 feet[4] in length made of lightweight frames covered in animal skins.[5]

In the Paleolithic and Neolithic ages the world was very different to the one we are used to today and it is hard for us to visualize the land as it was then without roads and covered in forest, swamp, rough terrain and dangerous animals.

In Paleolithic times there were herds of huge animals and predators’ roaming the countryside while Homo sapiens in those times was predominantly a hunter gatherer without the modern knowledge and illusion of countries and borders.

These hunter gatherer tribes followed the herds on their annual migrations, but not across land in line with modern academic thinking, that is entirely impractical and inefficient, but by sea and river through sailing and rowing their currachs along the coasts, across open sea and up shallow river estuaries.[6]

To achieve this feat in boats requires a sound knowledge of navigation since a boat only has to go a short distance from the shore[7] to be out of sight of land and the unskilled would become easily lost.

Navigation is an art form requiring a sound knowledge of nature such as wind direction, bird flight, salt water and fresh water to indicate estuaries, cloud formations, sea bed types, and a form of mathematics created through the observation of heavenly bodies such as the sun, moon planets and stars as well as knowledge of the cyclical nature of time.

They were Shamanic attributing spirit to everything they saw on the planet, but they always thought of the sun as the giver of life and therefore the supreme God.

So it is true to say that the wheel cross was a sun symbol, because the only way to tell the time is to find and track the position of the sun both night and day, by the week, month season and year.[8]

The boats they built were the result of understanding the forces of the elements over a recorded period of around 150,000 years from an early coastal living existence in Africa.[9]

They traveled in small family groups of around 20 to 25 people carrying their boats ashore and turning them upside down to act as an efficient and waterproof house while they hunted wild animals and gathered nuts and fruit as the latitude and season allowed.

We know that they traveled great distances hunting mammoth and red deer herds through archaeological evidence of the distribution of similarly carved Venus figurines, fine textiles and mammoth beads across Europe dating from around 36,000 BC.

We also know that these people had reached the eastern shores of America and Siberia at the end of the Ice Age because of the discovery of Clovis points[10] on both sides of the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans.

We also now know that our Paleolithic ancestors measured the lunisolar[11] calendar and created early zodiacs [12] through the discovery of cave paintings[13] in France.

I proposed in my book in 2001 that in the cataclysms that followed the melting of the ice age 12500 years ago, which was responsible for the destruction of a huge part of the flora and fauna of our planet, the most likely humans to survive were those who were at sea.[14]

The reason for this is that any tsunami that is large enough to destroy so many creatures on the shore and on low lying plains, could be more easily ridden out at sea, where the effect would more likely turn out to be a large swell on the surface of the ocean.

Whereas, the effect on a coastline of a large tidal wave would be horrendous as the swell was turned into a giant breaking wave as it reached shallower depths. This breaking violent wave would annihilate all before it as it rushed up the beach.

This theory was born out tragically in the Indian Ocean on the morning of 26^th December 2004 where millions world wide watched people on the shoreline die in their hundreds of thousands while no boat at sea was sunk and yachts anchored offshore were seen to rise to the swells and remain undamaged and intact.

The world flooding recorded in the folk traditions throughout the world, the Bible, The Koran and the Dead Sea Scrolls caused by the end of the ice age is denied by historians despite the overwhelming scientific evidence that sea levels have raised world wide by around 300 feet since 10500BC.

When the ice sheets melted great walls broke from the faces of mile high glaciers and dams of moraine at the edges of giant freshwater melt lakes broke sending huge tsunamis across the oceans and the land. Great rocks a big as houses are seen in the American Great Plains that had been moved hundreds of miles by the force of the floods.

The early hunter gatherer mariners had developed a form of geometry and mathematics that was linked to astronomy and astrology to move around in their environment.

When the ice age ended the days of the hunter gatherer were numbered as the herds on which they had depended no longer existed and it was not long after this that agriculture and animal husbandry started in the lower latitudes.

It is the result of this huge social change that wars and conflicts developed as Mankind’s populations grew because of excess food production and the development of land ownership. It was because of this that warriors became more organized to defend their farms and property from aggressors and to become aggressive themselves when they ran out of space through population growth or famine.

Eventually these early agricultural societies began to spread and trade with other nations using sea routes.[15]

If you want to trade, you have to know where you are at sea and to do that you must be able to find latitude and longitude.

To find longitude you must know the time both locally and at a prime meridian.

Today the prime meridian is at Greenwich after much argument with the French, but the original prime meridian was at Giza in Egypt from which all local times and distances were calculated.[16]

The result of this earlier knowledge was that watch stations or observatories were developed throughout the world explaining the similarity over the millennia of structures and beliefs on a worldwide basis because of transoceanic navigation[17].

This network has long been investigated and argued about, current academic belief expounds, in the face of lack of real evidence, that it is purely co incidental that there are such similarities.

As the agricultural societies expanded they forced the older hunter gatherers that had survived up to the start of the Bronze Age to the edges of the continent.

Many investigators and writers have commented on various pieces of evidence that could not be explained. These intrepid explorers have brought masses of information to the public attention. This information only deepens the sense of mystery and in some cases convinces a large section of the population into believing that aliens must have been involved in the achieving of the inexplicable.

I do not believe that aliens were involved, but rather that we are the aliens because we do not understand the way our ancestors thought and that we are deceived by the ignorant that have risen to power without wisdom.

In my book “The Golden Thread of Time” ISBN 0-9541639-0-7 I show that, in comparison to the ancients, we have become very dualistic and have divorced ourselves from nature and the cosmos making pursuit of the material a religion in its own right without thought for the consequences.

Were this not so, we would be able to see what our ancestors left behind quite clearly and our civilisations would not be on the brink of disaster through conflict and the destruction of the environment.

We are on the road to the collapse of civilization if we do not change and change means removing illusion and differences between the family of Man and Nature as a whole.

To prove my point, that we have difficulty in seeing clearly, I have been fortunate in discovering the instrument that the ancients used in prehistory to measure the stars and the planet on which we live.

This instrument can tell the time, find latitude and longitude, measure the angles of the stars, predict the solstices and equinoxes and measure the precession of the equinoxes.

The instrument can also find the ecliptic pole as well as the north and south poles, it can make maps and charts, design pyramids and henges and used in combination with these, observers can record and predict the cycles of Nature and Time.

The cross is the instrument of the ancients who invented astrology and astronomy, it is also a religious icon hidden in the face of the public today by Constantine and the Roman Catholic Church.

It is on all Christian Churches and many gravestones; it is in literature and song and can be seen hanging round the necks of the faithful all over the world.

The teachers of the Christian faith use it, kneel before it, wear it as part of their raiment and yet they do not seem to recognize it for what it is.

Indeed the cross may be older than time and the greatest treasure ever left by our ancestors.

The cross is a maritime treasure trove of wisdom and it has been responsible for constructing the pyramids in Egypt and the America’s.

The author has discovered the remnants of a cross that was hidden by the House of Amen, in the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza.[18] This amazing cross and plumbline is capable of measuring angles to an accuracy of three arc minutes showing that the cross may be more important than the pyramid since the pyramid could not exist without the cross.
